Works as claimed2010-02-065 / 5
Charged the batteries in an Eveready charger and they have been working fine. Arrived very quickly in blister pack package. Seem to be working fine. I have not had to recharge yet but I also don't use them very hard.
Made in China2010-01-263 / 5
Contrary to all the comments and reviews on the internet there is a big difference between CycleEnergy and Eneloop .
Cycle energy from Sony are Made in China and enloops what I own are Made in Japan
I just received today , so dont know if the will perform as well as the Sanyo's eneloop.

I am skeptical that they wont perform to the same level , also the top crown is also white in color on +ve terminal of the Batteries , so its not a rule that if the crown is white , it will be Made in Japan.
Pleased so far2010-01-195 / 5
I've been using the orange-colored Cycle Energy version of Sony's rechargeables, but tried these because of their low self-discharge characteristic. They're best-suited for low-drain applications, I assume, such as mice, keyboards, and TV/DVD remotes. They may also work especially well in high-drain, low-duration devices such as LED flashlights or night-lights. Compared with the original version, it appears the user trades off some run-time for improved shelf-life. After less than a month of use, they've performed well.
Nice batteries2010-01-095 / 5
I've only had these batteries for a few weeks but so far they've been fantastic. I bought them as replacements for the batteries in my cordless phone, which I've been replacing nearly annually for several years as they've worn out. I am hoping that these will last longer but I'm not sure if they will.

These new batteries arrived nearly fully charged and I have had no trouble with them keeping a charge or recharging in the phone. The power has been very consistent, too. Previously, with the batteries I've been using for years, I could use the phone for just over an hour before the batteries would run out of power. So far, I've been able to more than double that usage time with these Sony batteries. I am pleased with them and will be getting more of these batteries to use in remote controls, games, etc.
cannot hold charge, get sanyo eneloop instead2009-12-181 / 5
I have used sanyo eneloop's for a few years, but thought I'd try these sony's because they claim to be have higher mAh's than the eneloop's.

The eneloop's will last 10-11 hours in my MP3, but the Sony's last anywhere from 8 minutes to 50 minutes. We've charged them 4 times with the same result. If the vendor will not take them back, we will throw them out, it's just too much hassle to change batteries in the middle of exercising, etc. all the time. Our charger is a Panasonic BQ-390, which is an excellent smart charger.

Don't waste your time with these Sony batteries.
