| Buttons have to be pressed really hard to do anything. They go in, but then must be like karate chopped down. Gave this to a friend for free and bought a first party one. |

i bought this product after reading that it does allow limited control with the harmony. i bought it and it did exactly what i thought it would. it gives you all the basic functions, which is really all i need. i dont like using the sony blu-tooth controller cuz the buttons are too small and do not light up.
it did take a little while to get the remote to work exactly how i needed it to but in the end im happy with it being able to let me use my harmony to control the ps3 for watching movies. |

| This remote works great. I was a little worried reading the reviews before I bought it...complaints were that it could not power on or off the ps3. True it does not power on the ps3, but you can power down using the menu system. You usually have to put a blu ray, dvd, or cd in the machine to begin with, which turns the ps3 on, so that kind of sovles the power on problem. I really have no complaints about the remote. No set up is necessary, just plug in the usb and start using the remote. A plus is that once you have this remote you can program a learning universal remote to control the ps3. Well worth the price, I got a universal and this remote for cheaper than the sony blu ray remote. |

I bought this for just one reason: INFRARED RECEIVER.
Now, I can control my ps3 with a "One For All, Comfort" remote control.
It doesn't has the ps3 button, and you cannot turn on the ps3 with this remote, but you can control everything else.
I made my One For All remote learn the codes from this remote (in "AMP" mode; the other DVD, CBL, TV, etc didn't work) and that's it, now I can watch movies, listen music, etc. with the same remote I control everything. |

| I was disappointed that the remote can not actually turn on the PS3, though it seems obvious now that it couldn't since the sensor is powered by the PS3's USB. Other than that, it mostly works, although the arrow buttons are quite cramped. I have also had a hard time getting my universal remote to learn from this one, although that could be an issue with my universal remote. |
