| I had high hopes for this item, but I should have kept looking. Item arrived in an undamaged shipping box. Yet, during assembly, I found the hand crank could not be inserted into the reel housing as the receiving piece was BENT. This was not shipping damage, but was damage prior to being placed into the box. Fortunately, I have some skills, so I was able to reshape the receiver.
Now that it is assembled, I find it to be very flimsy. Says it will hold 200 feet of hose. Don't believe it unless you are using very flimsy 1/2 inch hose.
Would not buy this product. Keep Looking. |

| | i received my cart one month ago and is probably the most stable i have ever had BUT HAD TO ORDER A REPLACEMENT BECAUSE SCREW HOLE IN HANDLE DIDNT MATCH UP RIGHT ANS THE CART WAS ALEADY RUSTING WHEN ASKED ABOUT THIS BUTLER REP SAID ITS NOT MADE TO BE KEPT OUTSIDE WILL SEE IF REPLACEMENT CART ANY BETTER WORST PART I HAVE TO TAKE THE WHEELS OFF TO RETURN AND PUT NEW WHEELS ON A MAJOR HAssle very tough to screw on |

| | I just bought this product and assembled it this afternoon. It's well built and easy to assemble. I've posted a few pictures of it so that people can see it with a 100 foot Gilmour 3/4" hose on it. (The hose is product B00002N67P.) The capacity of this unit is just about right for 100 feet of 3/4" hose. It could carry a longer 1/2" or 5/8" hose. I am glad I purchased this product. |

| | There's no way this will hold 200 ft of hose, but I won't hold that against it. I have 150 ft on it, 50 of that is a commercial grade, which takes up alot of space, but still, 200 ft claim is a stretch. BUT!! This is a well built, sturdy alternative to those plastic (buy me every year) reels. I gave this one 5 stars because it deserves it, Good sturdy build, Good price... Great investment for me! |

| My husband and I purchased the larger Yard Butler hose cart in winter 2008, and it arrived with the crank handle bent. Based on other people having this same experience, it seems that this reflects a problem in the manufacturer's quality control. We were given a full refund by the cart's maker.
We bought a second, smaller sized Yard Butler hose cart a few weeks ago, and again, there were quality control issues. On this second cart, the screw to attach the handle to the cart frame is too large for the hole -- you literally cannot screw it in. We have placed multiple calls to the manfacturer's customer service (per instructions that come with cart, it cannot be returned to , and all returns are to be processed thru the cart's maker). Their customer service line has an answering machine, and after 2+ weeks of leaving messages, they still have not returned our call.
We thought it was a fluke that the first cart was poorly made, but the problems with the second hose cart more than 2 years later clearly indicate that the manufacturer has, at best, very poor quality control. And now we are having problems getting a refund. Though the cart looks very promising when compared to other plastic and less heavy metal models that are on the market, I've learned the lesson and will not buy anything again from this company. |
