The sander performed well. The rubber pad is well designed to allow maximum air flow. The sander was used in a kitchen remodeling project where drywall dust was an issue. It was connected to a Shop-Vac with 75 inches of sealed pressure and 235 CFM of airflow. The vac had a bag specifically for critical filteration and a HEPA filter. Therefore, drywall dust was not an issue.
However, there are two design defects that should be considered. First, the airflow control valve is annoying to use. It is connected to the vac hose. If the hose swivels the valve positioning and thus the airflow will change. I remedied this problem by covering the ports with electrical tape. The down side is that with the vac on the sander will stick to the wall like glue requiring extra effort to sand. This can be customized by making some holes in the tape if need be. The second issue is the flimsy adapter used to adapt the 1-1/4" attachment to 1-1/2" hose. It is not user friendly and will come out of the vac hose if not inserted correctly. Aside from this, the sander performed well. The big advantage of the sander is that it has two ports and a well designed pad for the maximum removal of drywall dust. |

I have a couple of these and they are the most convenient way to sand drywall - whether you're working in a finished house or it's still empty the dust is contained in your vacuum and everyone will be a whole lot happier. I only wish more local retailers would carry these in stock - at about $5 more than the regular hand sander I can't imagine why anyone wouldn't buy one.
Get one and never look back. |

| This is my second one, the old one died after well over a decade of intermittent use. As the other recommendation says, use the right filter & bag for your Shopvac and this becomes the best sanding tool you've ever used. |

| I had one of these before - and sadly lost it. Sanding drywall makes such a mess - but with this it just sucks the dust away! But you have to have a shop vac with the fine filter - called HEPA filter - that way you will not get drywall dust into your motor and blow it! |
