| I had bought a 1/2" drive breaker bar from an auto parts shop for the automatic fan belt tensioner when I was working on my car. I already had a 1/4" socket set at home. I had been looking everywhere for a 1/2" female to a 1/4" male adapter so that I could use the breaker bar with my 1/4" sockets, but couldn't find it. This adapter set is the closest I have come to finding the 1/2" F X 1/4" M adapter I was looking for. By combining the 1/2" F X 3/8" M adapter with the 3/8" F X 1/4" M adapter, I can use the 1/2" breaker bar with the 1/4" sockets. It is not a perfect solution, but it does get the work done. |

| This is a very nice adapter set. I do not get the impression that it is cheap or that the quality of the materials is suspect. I would recommend to anyone, including mechanics. It is what it is! |
